12.11.2010 Rainfalldown @ Head of steam (Durham)
Rainfalldown was, at first, the pseudonym of South Shields-based singer/songwriter Martin Francis Trollope. He soon gathered a few fellow local musicians to try out his songs as a three-piece band but disbanded after a few performances. It was a number of disillusion-filled years later that the concept of a full live band emerged once more, thus conceiving a new rainfalldown. They now play live as much as they can and often venture out of the region showcasing their folk-inspired alternative rock to as many audiences as possible.
The band always variate with their live performances; their ever-growing assortment of instruments includes acoustic guitar, harmonica, mandolin, harmonium and glockenspiel with many more to be sought after, experimented with and brought into the fold. rainfalldown - open hearts, minds, doors and windows.
